Biography and Resume

Biography

          Karen Weiss grew up in Dallas, Texas and was in the first graduating class 
of the nationally recognized Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing 
and Visual Arts.   She received her undergraduate degree in Art History from Boston
University. 
	     Ms. Weiss is a multi media artist who works primarily as a painter, illustrator and jewelry 
designer.   Karen's note cards, prints, and inspirational jewelry have sold internationally.  
	     Ms. Weiss exhibits her fine art in both group and solo shows in Texas.  Karen provides 
body art (henna and face painting) for private parties, corporate events and festivals.    
She also paints murals for residential and commercial clients, and sets for theater and trade shows.     
 	The artist also teaches adults creativity.  She lives with her husband, son, daughter, dog, and three 
cats in Dallas.
